Ty Meier draws pen-and-ink art with watercolor and acrylic, mostly using humble New England critters with a screen-printed, rock-posterly feel as metaphors for philosophy. His work explores the resilience, humor, and wisdom needed to survive this often difficult world. Ty's central message is
"We are beautiful creatures surrounded by darkness."

My illustrations are small sanctuaries—quiet rooms where flower-headed figures sit, rest, think. These spaces hold the weight of feeling, neither here nor there, much like the mind in its deepest moments. Comfort lingers in the details—the curve of a chair, the warmth of a window, a handwritten phrase on the wall. Some words soothe, some ache, but all are meant to be understood. Because even in stillness, even in solitude, you are not alone.
